In this age of emerging tech, if you thought mere to slake the digital thirst of children with instant messaging would be enough, then you haven’t been paying attention. Apparently, even children now must be equipped with multi-function smart devices. That is why Bandai with the overly cute handset intends to fulfill the demand. This called the SmartBerry.

While Nokia announced their N96, a new line of phones dubbed the XPERIA has just launched by Sony with starting the XPERIA X1. It’s aimed directly looking like at phones such as the Ocean and Sidekick, it’s got a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out from underneath the phone.

Moreover, it has a WiFi connectivity, 3-inch touchscreen, 400MB of storage onboard, and microSD support. On a modified version of Windows Mobile it runs, so how that’s implemented should break or make this guy. On pretty much every network, It should be able to run both here in in Europe and the US so look for it sometime this summer to hit your local carriers.

Its new N96 superphone that has just announced by Nokia. While loaded with features, it’s beauty of a device that probably without losing some of its best goodies won’t make it here to the states. It’s got a 16GB of internal memory, 2.8-inch screen, and backlit touch buttons that depending on what functions they control, it can change their appearance.

It also can pick up digital TV signals in Asia and Europe, because of it has a built-in DVB-H receiver, where nobody broadcasts those signals; a function that would be pretty worthless here. The $800 pricetag seems kind of tough to justify with speedy 3G access unlikely for it here in the states as well. You just got a new toy to drool over if you are living in Asia and Europe. smile049
