Pre-order Chevy Volt is now for $41k, minus a $7,500 tax credit. GM’s new all-electric car, The Chevy Volt, is finally available for pre-order, and the price is now official: $41,000. But a nice $7,500 tax credit considerably should bring that down.
However, if you live in one of seven of the launch markets for the Volt: New York, California, Michigan, Texas, Connecticut, Washington DC and New Jersey, you can head to a Chevy Volt dealer and place your order today. With a $2,500 down payment, you can either buy it or lease it for $350/month for 36 months. Chevy Volt promises they’ll arrive “late this year,” even there’s no specific date on when deliveries are happening.
In addition, you’ll also get a 120-volt charge cord with your Chevy Volt, and 4,400 getting a free charging station as well as part of a Department of Energy program.
