The Griffin iTrip iPhone/iPod FM transmitter, the first hardware controlled directly from the screen of the iPhone. This one sounds better, we’re no big fans of previously available iterations of the iTrip, transmitting audio from an iPhone or iPod to your car’s FM radio, because the result is so noisy it sounds like someone’s frying bacon in the background.
Should we care about this $50 attachment? It’s the first of many hardware accessories to be controlled by the iPhone or iPod Touch, and it’s looking good. Continue reading to see screenshots of the iTrip application, available now as a free download from the iTunes app store. Let’s hope the next controllable hardware is a little more useful.
