Mouth surgery in the future
In the future, surgery will less painful, be quicker, faster recover times, and not any scars leaved. That is great news huh? But there is also bad news that all of these things will involve sticking long robots with knives down your throat to do all the process of “dirty work”. Yeah!
In fact, through his mouth a man just has his appendix removed, a world’s first. And it was a complete success while the whole knives-down-the-throat thing is off-putting, with the recipient of the surgery able to doing sit-ups a day after that and be back at work two days later. I suppose in the end, with such creepy prospects as robotic mouth surgery due to the benefits we’ll learn to deal it, but it’s going to take a lot of getting used to.
